HONORING THE PAST, SHAPING THE FUTURE

Crafted by Curiosity

I’ve always believed that my design journey began at a young age while observing my dad's relentless quest to understand how things work and how they can be improved. His curiosity has always been a source of inspiration for me. My career, rich and hands-on, has honed my skills and fueled my commitment to driving impactful digital transformations. I am known for orchestrating experiences that are as human-centered as they are innovative, seamlessly navigating both digital and physical realms with a balance of research, creativity, and empathy, and yes, a broad and deep curiosity.

This journey has led me across various industries, from Walmart and H&R Block to McKinsey, Caterpillar, and Best Buy, as well as to various startups like Nooma Group. In each role, my forward-thinking approaches have consistently sparked innovation and yielded tangible results amidst challenging transformations within the disciplines Strategy, Product Design and Product Management.

What does Split Pattern mean anyway?

My dad is a retired foundry patternmaker, a role steeped in the intricate, artful, and highly detailed process of creating patterns and molds used in metal casting. These are meticulously crafted to ensure accurate and high-quality final metal products. Split patterns play a crucial role, expertly handling complexity with ease. Made in two or more parts, they simplify the creation of intricate castings, ensuring precise alignment of mold parts and smooth removal of the finished casting, guaranteeing top-notch accuracy and quality every time.

In a small yet meaningful way to honor my dad and the years of inspiration he’s given me, and noting the strikingly similar attributes the term shares with my work, I’ve chosen to operate under the name Split Pattern.
